Fair Usage Policy
Last updated: 1 June 2026
PaperOrg paid plans are designed to feel unlimited for normal personal and household use. This Fair Usage Policy exists only to keep the Service fast and affordable for everyone by preventing extreme or abusive usage. The vast majority of people will never come close to these limits.
1. Included usage
Each paid plan (Personal and Family) includes up to 2,000 uploads or scans per rolling 12-month period. A "document operation" means each file you upload or each page you scan that is processed by our AI. Viewing, searching, editing, organising and downloading documents you already have do not count toward this limit.
2. Storage
Reasonable personal storage is included. Individual files are subject to a 25 MB size limit. We may contact you if your storage use is dramatically higher than typical household use.
3. What happens if you reach the limit
If you approach 2,000 operations in a year, we will let you know. We will never delete your documents or cut off access to what you have already stored. If you genuinely need more, contact us at hello@paperorg.com and we will find a fair arrangement — for example a higher-volume plan. Any additional capacity beyond the included amount may be offered at our standard overage rate.
4. Family plan
On the Family plan, the 2,000-operation allowance is shared across all members of the household rather than per person.
5. Abuse
This policy is not intended to restrict honest household use. It allows us to act against clear abuse — for example automated bulk processing, commercial resale of the Service, or activity that degrades performance for other users. Where we see this, we may rate-limit, contact you, or in serious cases suspend the account, in line with our Terms of Service.
6. Changes
We may adjust these limits over time. If we lower an included allowance, we will give reasonable advance notice and it will only apply to future periods.
